Acoustic Showcase
with a Chocolate Fountain and complimentary wine
Monday, December 13, 8:00 PM
Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring
Performers & Audience, $8 at the door
IMT's Acoustic Showcases
have set a standard that is a cut above most open mics. Perhaps your
neighbor plays guitar and sings like Eric Clapton? Find out! Come and
hear Washington DC's emerging acoustic acts kick it into high gear on
stage. Like wine? Ever wonder what Willy Wonka's chocolate river tasted
like? Now is your chance to find out! Warm dark Belgian chocolate fondue
fountain will flow all evening at the Institute of Musical Traditions.
Strawberries, apples, pretzels, graham crackers, bananas, ginger snaps
and a few surprise items will be provided to dip into the flowing chocolate.
Complimentary wine will be served. Come just to listen or take the stage
and perform your newest song. Original material preferred. The roster
will be full so sign up early for a 10 minute slot by calling 301-754-3611
or e-mailing Office@imtfolk.org.
Note to musicians: Play first otherwise you will leave sticky, gooey
chocolate fingerprints all over your fine musical instruments!
