Bet Williams and The Three Wise Guys

Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring
$14 advance/$17 door
Bet Williams has been a mover and a shaker on the club and coffeehouse circuit for
the past ten years. After developing a cult following at
Penn State in the late 80's, Bet packed up her poetry
degree and a handful of songs to take them on the road. Since then
she's written hundreds more and traveled across America from House
of Blues and The Troubadour in Los Angeles to the Bluebird Cafe in
Nashville to the Bottom Line in New York City. Bet has an electrifying
voice and high energy performing style unmatched by most contemporary
female artists. With the release of her sixth full length CD,
LIVE AT THE POINT, she has become an undeniable cult
figure in the singer/songwriter, folk and pop world.
The Three Wise Guys are Nick Annis, Chris Chandler and David Roe
- often billed as the “three sharpest knives in the drawer”!
A songwriter for many years, Nick Annis began performing in 2002
in the warmth and support of South Florida's folk music community. He was
one of three winners of the prestigious Wildflower! Songwriting Competition
in 2003 and moved to Washington, D.C. a few months later where he has been
developing an enthusiastic following.
