Grace
Griffith is undeniably an icon in the Washington, D.C.
area. Her career has contributed to happy memories for so many
of us: from her magical performances with the seminal band “The
Hags”, through subsequent evolutions with various partners;
Hazelwood; Connemara; Irish Fire; to her soaring solo work with
current musical cohorts Jody Marshall, Carey Creed, Dave Abe
and Paul Nahay.
Tonight is a celebration of all of these and so much more: the
sum total of the talents, warmth and determination of a woman
aptly named Grace. She’s joined at the release of her
new CD by producers Chris Biondo and Lenny
Williams (formerly of Eva Cassidy’s band) on
hand at the keyboard and bass, Al Petteway,
Marshall, Creed, Abe and Nahay. Susan
Graham White, the award winning singer/songwriter and
her Hazelwood partner will be making a rare guest appearance
as well.
