Beòlach, Gaelic for “lively youth”, is one of Cape Breton's outstanding young trad bands. Beòlach’s energetic mix of Cape Breton (NS, Canada), Scottish, and Irish tunes on piano, bagpipes, whistles, drums, guitar, and two fiddles keeps toes tapping and hands clapping throughout. Consisting of Mairi Rankin (fiddle and stepdance), Andrea Beaton (fiddle and piano), Ryan J. MacNeil, (bagpipes and whistle), and Patrick Gillis on guitar, the band is the crème de la crème of American Celtic.
