Join us for a
stellar evening of prizewinning entertainment as the top placed
musicians of the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest perform for us.
Included in our auspicious lineup are:
Laura Baron from Bethesda MD who won the Gold in the
Vocal Jazz/Blues Category for the song "Winter Don't Own Me". Known for
her soulful voice, Laura is a DC native, performing original folk,
blues and jazz at festivals and acoustic venues; Rick & Audrey
Engdahl (who took Gold in Children's Music for her song
Caterpillar) of Hyattsville MD, with the band Sense Of Wonder
performing family oriented songs. With words that are simple and smart,
Rick & Audrey supply a musicality and lyrical integrity that keeps
the focus of kids and the sanity of parents; Thomas Scott Pearce
(Greenville, NC), Winner of 3rd Place Overall, for the song "Rings In
The Water" (Gospel/inspirational/christian). Honored with a NC
Songwriter Fellowship Grant and the Grand Prize in the Austin
Songwriters Group Song Contest, he also writes poems and short stories;
Patty Reese of Takoma Park MD, Silver in Rock for
the song "Just Friends". With an undying passion for creating and
delivering soulful music, Patty's Style style has been compared to
Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin: "a female Dylan"
---Music Monthly Magazine; Rupert Wates from the UK via
Brooklyn, NY, Winner of 2nd Place overall & Gold in Contemporary
Folk for the song "After The Rains"; Gretchen Witt, Brooklyn,
NY Folk/acoustic, Silver for the song "Sun On My Back". An acoustic
rock singer/songwriter with folk sensibilities,: she has placed as
Finalist in the Kerrville Folk and Telluride Bluegrass Festivals.

President, joins in as a special guest and Siobhan Quinn serves as the
